Field Day Lietzen 2025 (Update)

At the Lietzen Field Day 2025 under the motto “Soil.Knowledge.Action” (https://www.soilrob.de/event/feldtag-lietzen-2025.html) on 04/09/25, which was co-organized with the involvement of the SoilRob team, there were numerous opportunities for exchange at the SoilRob stand. Lina Rohlmann and Lukas Thielemann presented field methods to around 120 visitors for determining various soil health parameters, which are also used—among others—within the different trials of the SoilRob project.

In addition to soil structure assessment (VESS – Visual Examination of Soil Structure), equipment for measuring infiltration and susceptibility to water erosion was demonstrated. As a method for assessing soil biological activity, the use of “Von Törne bait strips” was explained.

Furthermore, the water stability of aggregates was illustrated using a simplified model. With the various groups visiting the stand, there was lively interaction with questions and input from both scientists and practitioners, making the field day a successful event for SoilRob.
