Field Day at the IfZ in Göttingen

 / Göttingen

At the invitation of the FarmerSpace AI project at the Institute for Sugar Beet Research (IfZ), we had the opportunity to present SoilRob’s latest research findings on May 21, 2026, during a field day focused on “Innovative Cultivation Systems and Robotics in Sugar Beet Farming.” There, we were able to present our most recent results and discuss them with interested practitioners and students. We also had the chance to demonstrate our own experiment on the impact of weeding robotics on soil health in sugar beet fields and explain various methods used in SoilRob, ranging from soil sampling to hyperspectral imaging. Despite the mixed weather, the field day was well-attended, and there was keen interest in the project. We would like to thank all visitors and, above all, the IfZ team for organizing the event and for the professional exchange during and after the field day.
